brand new to the site, not sure how i did? I purchased 2008 LR3 _SE with Cold Climate ,Xenon and Technology Package with 16,000 miles. But, I am very excited and can't wait to pickup the car next week. I gave the dealer a punch list of items i wanted before taking delivery of the car. I paid $30,800 (black on black). I can't wait to start enjoying the LR3.

I'm sure I will have multiple questions on the message boards. Can't wait to get started.

Welcome!

Get yourself a porter cable polisher, and some good polish and sealant - that black paint will take a lot of looking after! :hello:

Sounds about right price for the miles - expect to swap out the POS GoodYear tires very soon - they are terrible, noisy, worthless...

thanks, I will, I'm a nut about taking care of the cars. do you think polish is better then wax? I looked at the tires, they seem to be fine on the tread (looks like 70% left). I have read many posts regarding the tire dilemma. I plan on going off-roading but the majority of the useage will be highway miles (I am in NYC and i'm just limited on the off-roading). i am contemplating the

1)Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 (Premium aggressive all-terrain for light truck, van & sport utility vehicle.P265/60R-18 109T SBL )

2)
Hankook Ventus AS RH07
All-season tire for you SUV or sport truck.
265/60R-18 110V SBL

3)
Nitto Dura Grappler
High mileage, durability and traction for heavy duty trucks.
265/60R-18 110H BLK

not sure which is the better tire for my useage?

also negotiated the extended warranty but not purchsaed yet, i have three 2.9 years left on warranty dealer refused to extend only purchase i think i'm better off with outside company for extended warranty (just a little nervous about the company (what they will cover? will they be around? how reliable are they?) haven't made a decision on that subject either. I have been reading the posts and reviwes, but the ford ESP plan is no longer available since company is now TATA, i read on an other site three companies that offer extended warranties on land rover i contacted them took three price quotes they all seem ok (but its over the phone and who knows?) If anyone wants to know the three companies i contacted i will follow up.

thanks for all your help!

I would try the dyna pro. They have some excellent reviews. I would go with a 265-65-18

Polish then sealant is a longer lasting, and less labor intensive solution than waxing.

Plenty of products out there - I use the Ultima polish and sealant, and love the time saved and great result.

Needs doing twice a year, that's all - awesome!

Mud doesn't stick as much, so cleaning is easier, and everything stays looking good.
