For those attending in San Francisco, I didn’t see any exact address of where to go so I emailed them. The SF event will be happening at: 3073 17th Street San Francisco, CA 94110.

Just finished this event with Stuart Barnes. He made a transcript and took copious notes so I’ll let him voice that. We got to speak directly with Greg Clark. Asked tons of questions. Vehicle is badass. Better in person than online. Beefier, more aggressive looking, less awkward, big enough inside for me at 6’4”, Sturdy, etc. It’s a much cooler version of the LR4. Will fit 35” tires. Can come with a 17” rim. Tons to like. Light blue color looked awesome. Anway my main line of questioning was around dealer arrangement and the potential for price gouging given the current environment. Gregs answer was that they can’t fight the uphill battle to try and do a DTC arrangement so they will have to use dealers. And they are not allowed by law to price fix. They have to sell wholesale and then the dealer marks it up to the consumer. Which to me in SOCal means huge markups possible. There were others there worried about it too. One suggestion that had not been considered but was received was a potential EU delivery like many other MFG do. Not sure if that would help control market “adjustments” but..: I can tell you that based on how badass this thing looks and how few there will be I can see this thing heading into Gwagen price zone.

Also some good info here from SA.
Pretty sizable aftermarket interest already. Good companies making stuff at launch. And range of 500m maybe more. 23.75 gallon tank. So 21 mpg. Might differ here but probably not too much. Might have long range tank or water storage.

This is cool. Hope the tour comes through Denver.

What are your thoughts on interior quality? Hard plastics or upscale?

Basically two versions. Utility and lifestyle. They had the utility on there which was cloth seats and more “defenderish” and some of those plastics were preproduction printed plastics. I thought it was a great mix even so. Felt more Jeep than rover. The lifestyle will be very close to a defender I think. Upscale but still rugged. He said they are eyeing “upscale German suvs” for NVH and decibels.

I think the rear wheel arches are gigantic, did it look like the rear seats fold flat?

Is there any place to see where it goes? On that website that was linked, the only places are on the west coast.
