On my LR3 @ 70K I hear a knocking sound on speed bumps, dirt tracks, and when the brake pedal jabbed quickly. Also noticed while in high speeds applying brakes will wobble the steering wheel a little. Not sure if that is related to the first symptom.

Anyway I was looking for a DIY and parts to replace the Anti Roll Bar bushings and Control Arms. Couldn't find it on this forum.

Anyone got a complete parts list and/or a possible DIY info somewhere. I can take to a mechanic but kinda wanna do it myself.

Replacing the control arms and swaybar bushings are fairly straight forward, you will need to pull the halfshaft out of the hub to let the balljoint out of the knuckle, the bigger issue with doing the control arms is the alignment, no amount of marking bolts or arms, will get it back where it needs to be, the alignment needs to be set with the suspension in "tight tolerance mode" and the toe setting has a tolerance of .02 degrees
Have seen a few where the bolts were marked and reinstalled with no alignment and tore the tyres off in a few thousand miles......

Any good rover specialist
Go to the likes of Atlantic British website and search "LR3 front lower control arm" and "LR3 sway bar bushing" you will see all the parts you need.

YMMV.

Kay, looks like no one. I'll have to figure it out myself now.

See if you can contact Nathon on this or the LRRF, he would be one of the better people who knows these LR3's really well.

The one important thing the guide did not mention is when you are tightening the bolts the arms must be in the standard ride height position, if you tighten them in full drop the bushings will be over twisted in low height and will damage them very quickly.
