I think you know one thing, but you are turning it into something else and don't know much about car retailing. LR won't let a dealer flip a loaner, for one thing. Second, a loaner would need to be titled and plated and probably proven as such to the manufacturer's finance company - it can't also be inventory for sale. A loaner also can't carry a dealer plate and remain on MSO (pre-title manufacturer certificate of origin). If your car is still untilted, sold from MSO, then it's brand new.
Have you seen any of these cars you have been supposedly buying for a week and would pick up on Monday? Did you see the build date? It will be many months old, given that 08 production ended long ago and then transport takes some weeks or more to where ever you are.
If you are picking it up on Monday, I wonder how you continue to question the price. Seems like you already made your deal and now have buyer's remorse.
Maybe you need to buy used cars. You pose odd questions about new ones!
