A while back I was looking for input on tire options for the OEM 20 inch rims. Not a whole lot of feedback. I have johnson rods on the vehicle so I figured I would ask Greg Johnson. He has a list of available tires for 18,19 & 20 inch rims for the LR3. I decided to go with the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S AT 275/55/R20 31.9 $155. He said that they "should" fit, but he couldn't guarantee it because the tire options on his website are for the LR3 and the LR4 has a slight variation in the frame which may cause some tire rub. I'm happy to report that with the johnson rods, there is no tire rub. Not a lot of clearance, maybe 3/4 of an inch, but the fit. Here are some pics.

Wow! That looks great. You don't see that many green LR4s.

The extra height and the bigger tires really correct the stance. It sure whould have been nice if that was how it looked from the factory.

Nice pics!

Those Yoko's are great tires - still my favorite AT, I had 265\55-18's on my LR3.

They look great. I had the yoko's on my LR3 as well. I too have 20" wheels (20x9.5 Redbourne Margues) on my LR4 and have been shopping tires larger AT tires. I have been leaning towards Nitto Terra Grapplers in 285/50/20 but after seeing your Yoko's I may reconsider. I have a set of 1.5" Johnson Rods and want to run them full time but the current 265/50/20 Toyo Proxes ST2's do not fill the space. Can you share feedback @ all heights (Access and Normal mainly)? I wonder if the extra .7" will be too much for the additional 1.5" to accommodate.
Thanks - Chris

Tires look awesome! Love the green. Is that Galway Green because it looks lighter? Maybe it's the sunlight. Great photos!
