Just hit the button. You don't have to wait until you are stopped. It will start lowering when speed drops below 12mph and finish when it drops below 5mph. Yeh, it's not as convenient as auto lowering but it works. Blame it on the lawyers, they wouldn't allow it any other way.

No problem. Also, when you hit the button it starts a one minute timer. If you don't slow down to below at least 12mph within that minute it cancels your request to lower. If a door opens while it's still lowering it will stop but close the door within 40sec and it will continue.
