Hi all new to the site and just got a 2012 LR4 LUX which I really like! I was wondering if the mud flaps create any/much noise driving at high speeds or if any of y'all have had any issues with them? Also, want to say that y'alls posts and information shared on here has been great. Thanks in advance!

I have the mud flaps. They don't create any noise at any speed. I installed them myself in forty five minutes, fifteen of which were spent deciphering the wordless instructions.

I haven't noticed any noise either. Big help in keeping the side of the truck clean. The directions do leave something to be desired, but none the less an easy do it yourself project.

Ok, great! Did you order them thru the LR Dealer or online at another site?

Have the mud flaps. No noise at all and they are great in both form and function. I had the dealer install mine.

ok I think I am going to order them and have the dealer install them...even though we have been in a drought for some time, hunting season has started and I will be on the ranch a lot! I just had the stainless steel rear bumper tread plate installed and like the look, but I had not seen a LR4 in person with the mud flaps to help make up my mind.

It should be noted that the mud flaps are rigid, not flexible. It is not uncommon when driving over rocks, logs, and branches for mud flaps to be torn off. Rigid mud flaps are more susceptible, and with the LR4 flaps in particular I could see that if they were torn off damage to the wheel well arches could result as well, so be aware. As others have said, they are great for keeping mud, dirt, and gravel off the sides of the truck.

I would install the front yourself, it takes just a few minutes. Extremely easy. The rear are a pain, and if you're getting the dealer to do it, just have them do the rear only, and save yourself a few bucks. I love mine, no noise.

Yes, the rears aren't easy. But once you've done one side, the other's a snap. You will spend some time on your back under the car though.

Got the mud flaps and had the dealer install them...You don't see a lot of pictures of them so here are a couple.
