Also, if you use the navteq link go to "map reporter" off of main page. You can "test" the new map to check if new areas are in the system before purchase.

That's great! Thanks.

NAV Hack

Well, just loaded the Nav software DVD update, and now the "hack" doesn't work. Anyone out there who knows the new diagnostic code to overide the lockout?

FYI-update...Tried to put the old DVD in, but it's too late. Apparently, when the new DVD went in, it reprogrammed the system, and it must apparently only look for newer software on the DVD. So it seems that there is no going back once you put in the new DVD. Bummer.....I miss the hack.

DOH! That sux! I was just thinking of buying that after a long road trip this weekend...but I really rely on that hack for full control of the NAV. Its pretty limiting w/o it. Darn.

Come on Grommet...you're in the know. You must have heard SOMETHING about a new hack, eh, senor? :bandit:

Off topic... but... just experiment. Flip the "Voice Settings --> Voice Language" between US English Male, US English Female & UK English. Ignore the names: a specific setting may work better for you. (Remember, this is the Voice Language... and not the System "Display" Language.)

And... eventually, you can train yourself to speak in a more compatible fashion.
