I'm guessing this red strap under the cup holder is the manual neutral selector for when the battery is dead? Does anyone know what the metal loop is in the second picture?

It's the manual release for the electronic park brake (in case of a dead battery or if the automatic release is jammed.) You can use the hooked end of the scissors jack handle as leverage, as it takes quite a bit of force to release the brake through that steel wire.

Ahh, I was wondering where the brake release was. Pretty sure the neutral release is documented in my 2015 owners manual, not sure I can say the same for the E brake release?
