Well… I just spilled a big cup of water all over the dash and center console. A lot went right into the touchscreen and it immediately went black. Did my best to dry it and let it sit. It came back for a second but had no touch function and then went completely black after restarting.

I was surprised how quickly it knocked out and I’m not feel very optimistic about it. I may try pulling the positive battery cable for a hard reset but it seems like a long shot. Has anyone else had something similar happen?

How involved is the replacement?

I'd let it dry for a few days. The liquid can bridge positive and negative connections and fry stuff as a result.

Replacement is pretty easy, I managed to find some good YouTube videos...
