New Brakes at 16k Miles??

For reference. Both my front/rear pads were 80% worn @ 18K. I verified the pads, and noticed that the rotors had a slight lip. Dealer said rotors needed to be changed when I asked about these specifically; but invoice stated "recommended", leading me to believe they were still serviceable. No big deal, but I turn it in on a lease in one month and 26K; hence, i don't feel so bad about taking their loaner offroading while they were performing the brakes on mine.

OUCH! Hilarious, really. I had no idea about that forum, but I just told someone last week that I plan to stay with Audi and LR forums but had no plans to join a minivan forum, as if there was one -- and there is!
