Bought a 2003 Land Rover Disco in June/14...120K miles.
Love it...and located in central wisconsin

Had a misfire code...replaced w/bosch irdiums and that code was resolved.
Had a MAF air CEL...pulled it and cleaned it..and that code was resolved.

Currently have 2 codes for o2 sensors. Bank 1 sensor one. Bank two sensor one. I replaced the o2 sensors on the drivers side..pre cat and post cat.
Cleared the codes and a few minutes later...codes were back.

I had hoped it was the o2 sensors as the ones I replaced were way dirty..but no luck.

Couple of Qs...the air intake hose has a broken clip and had a large crack in it which I sealed with a silicon sealer. ~ Could this be the culprit?
~ If MAF Air flow...shouldnt I get the code?

Plug wires are clean/connected. Wires to o2 sensors appear to be in good ahpe and harnessed correctly

I'll try the seafoam induction cleaning as the oil was real low and dark dark black when I changed the oil first. Have been using a high milage synthetic w/high end filter and a qt of miracle oil. Changed it a 1K miles and am going to change oil and filter again this weekend at another 1K miles..see if that helps w/the ticking..
Have a slight oil drip on the passanger side from the valve cover on the passanger side which will be addressed soon...

Anyway..the Q is related to the o2 sensors and where to go next..have read most threads but thought I'd try with my specific codes/issues...

Love the Rover..looking forward to plowing through the snow..

When you replaced the front o2 sensors, was there oil in the connection, if sit needs to be cleaned our with electrical contact cleaner then apply some die electric inside each connector.
By the way, are your valve covers leaking?

Thanks Mike...no..there wasn't any oil when replacing the front o2 sensor. I can try to pull it out again and clean it to be on the safe side.

Yes..on the valve covers. I have a leak on the passanger side by the 2nd spark plug from the front. I changed the oil about 1k miles ago. Used a synthetic high milage and a qt of Marvel Mystery oil based on some other threads I have read. Did seem to improve the leak a great deal but still see a bit of oil along there.

I was going to try tightening/or taking a look at them but I didnt have the correct tool/deep well socket to fit.

~Thanks for your reply...
