Since last year my fuel tank on my Disco 98 is busted. So to avoid overflow I just fill the tank 70% which is a serious handicap when driving off road.
While purchasing brake pads from the dealer shop, mentioning the issue of the tank, the Manager informed me that this tank could be replaced free of charge as this is a factory defect. Well that is the first positive surprise from my Rover Agent since 1972.
As there were similar treads before on leaking tanks, just to let you know that Rover accept to replace the tanks even your truck is 8 years old.

Okay, another item of my Rover List solved.

If they haven't changed it yet, go ahead and source yourself a new fuel pump and have them install it while they are in there. They have to remove the old one to change the tank. Might as well make it worth your while.

Thanks for your advice Joey, I am wondering who is Joey. The man who must have a library of information and definitely a Rover passion, replying to almost every threat.

Keep up the good work, without you they could close this Forum.
