I just purchased the new LR4. I want to tow a snowmoible trailer behind that in total weighs 4500 lbs. In this situation I should have a break controller to manage the trailer breaks. Land Rover does not sell one and it appears many service organizations are afraid of Land Rovers electronics. Has anyone else run into this situation? This is my first Land Rover and I love most everything else about the vehicle but this is starting to tick me off. thanks:argh:

Welcome to the forum. Any good shop with any intelligence should be able to wire up a light/brake control unit. As long as the unit is powered by it own connection to the battery and ignition source it will not be an issue.

Just an add on, remember the computer controls and monitors all power output from any of the lights, so this is the reason for the self powered unit, it will only pull a signal and it will power itself.
