You are right -- I just tried it and the digital speed does indeed appear when I change to km. Makes no sense why it would display in one mode and not the other.
It would make sense for kph to show if you drove a US LR4 to Canada, because the analog speedometer only has mph...but makes no sense why the digital mph was disabled. It must have been a last minute decision, as the 2010 marketing brochure shows the digital display (and also shows radio info. in the TFT - another canceled feature).
