Forgot to post the front air strut swap and distribution block rebuild. Completed both of those in August.

Suncore struts (rebuilt OEM) and Amazon o ring kit for valve block.

Strut job only took 1.5 hours per side. SUPER EZ

Next up for maintenance is replacing rear knuckle bushings. Have some play in the passenger side.

Old front hubs were toast so I spent a few hours yesterday swapping them for new units with NTN bearings.

Not a bad job, only took 2.5 hours per side.

I will say for anyone who comes across this post and is contemplating paying a shop: DIY! No special tools are needed besides the 21mm 12pt socket and BIG axle nut socket.

I needed my trusty impact to remove the axle nut.

Banging on the axle shaft & smacking the tar out of the hub was nerve wracking but oddly therapeutic lol.

Follow Atlantic British’ video posted on YouTube as a process guide.

How many swings did it take you to get the old hubs off? I've always liked how the Atlantic British video shows five swings with no progress, then cuts to the next step of the job.

When I took mine off (non rust belt state) it took a lot more than 5, but every swing I saw the hub move. Took probably 30 minutes to an hour per side from what I remember (For the entire job). Easy job.

I bought new Timken hubs for mine in August 2018. I haven't needed them yet, but I have a habit of buying parts long before they are needed. I've held off putting them on because my originals have been fine, and I've read horror stories of people swapping them out to find that their new ones go bad in 5k miles.

But I'm at 125k miles now, and I'm probably getting to the point where the risk of riding on my original hubs is starting to outweigh the risk that the new hubs will be defective.
