My 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB 4.2 has been struggling recently. It has been running rough. I saw code 45, which is for the O2 sensors. So I replaced the sensors and then later that day the engine light came on. Code 44 this time. After messing around in the engine, I finally realized that the Rover was only running on 4 cylinders on the right side. While running I lifted wires off the distributor and was able to pull all the wires off the left side without affecting the performance at all!!! I couldn't believe it. The day I found this out was the same day I noticed about a 25% loss in power so I don't know how long I have been running on only 4 cylinders. Wires are new. Stepper motor is new. I tried two different used MAF sensors. What else could I be missing? I need her running on all 8!
