I have a 97 disco 4.0 v8i. I cleared a p1193 code with the OBDII reader. When I rechecked the OBDII there were four flashing monitors and several that were solid. After driving the Rover two of the four flashing monitors became solid. I still have two that are flashing. Does this mean that the two, which are O2 monitor and the evap monitor, are still testing or do they just continuosly test and will always flash like that.

Hi Disco Mike,
MM, FS, CC, OS, OH are all solid and CM and FS are still flashing. I am just wondering if these should be flashing or does it take a long time for them to complete the test.

some readers (like mine) don't use all functions on all vehicles.

Mine won't read my abs or trans, the icons flash a couple of times on start, then turn off.

did you get instructions with your reader? if not, can you download same?

luck,greg
