Has anyone had someone other than a dealer do an (early-pre 7500) oil change? I was considering this to save money and time, but wasn't sure if the guard plates would give them fits or not. Any thoughts?

I'm with you, san6279. Not sure I trust the local Jiffy Lube with my rig.

I wouldn't trust Jiffy Lube but any real mechanic would not have any issues. It can be picked up with a regular lift, and other than taking the shields off (10 bolts, no issues) it's just like changing the oil in anything else
