Oil in intake manifold

I made my own for the Jeep CRD that I had, using heater hose and some PVC pipe with stainless scouring pads in it. Basically a good vertical length of pipe with the scouring pads in it to help condense oil vapors out, and a drain plug on the bottom of it that I drained at oil changes. Seemed to work really well there, and the transparent hose on the intake manifold got a little brown, but never seemed to have oil in it.
