I have annoying intermittent P0106 code for MAP sensor issue. I am about to clean MAFs, replace MAP and clean yhrottle body.

But about the same time, the car started to have high 1200 RPM when turning on AC. When shifting to drive, it drops back to normal 600. Wondering if related or just another thing to add to the "list"

Any ambient temperature over 85° will start to raise the rpm’s at idle to help the compressor keep up with the heat. At 85-87° it’ll usually go to 8-1k rpm and anything over 87°+ it’ll idle at 1150 rpm. This helps the compressor keep up and since this car runs a viscous fan (driven by the engine speed and operated by a clutch) it allows the fan to run at a higher speed to cool the condenser as needed.
