Question about 03 Freelander SE 4door

Im about to buy one of these from a friend of mine, I wanted to get the forums general idea about this car, the goods and the bads, is the gas mileage good or ok at least or does it drink gas, how reliable is it compared to the 02 cause I saw there was alot of probs with the 02. Mainly looking for an overall rating from you guys. Thanks for your help.
