Rasta vs Mantec under bumper skid plate??

Do you need to be able to take it off for servicing / oil changes etc.? I didn't think you did.

yep, oil filter and drain is right above there... you have to take off the mantec and also the small stock skid plate to do oil changes.

quick side note for mantec owners/buyers...

I just had a recent service at the dealership and I know I probably should have put on some locktight when i originally installed the guard... but anyhow I was out on the trail the other day messing around with my camera and later noticed that 1 bolt was missing and the other was hanging out crooked....

Basically the dealer didn't line up the bolts and half assed re-attaching it after service, because when I went to install a new bolt everything was off alignment and the remaining threads were all chewed up.

I would go visit the dealer and give them a good bollocking for that! That is a lousy job by any standards and totally unacceptable. That said, I've had similar experiences with MUCH more expensive Italian machinery - I had a dealer forget to re-attach the rear clips on an underbody ground effect tray and after a few miles I wondered what the expensive (for the dealer) scraping noise was ... :ahhhhh:
