Changed all 8 spark plugs and 2 of them just seemed something was wrong. after they were all in a started it up. it seemed to be misfiring then going dead at stop light unless I kept my foot on the gas. took it to a repair shop down the road. they were not certified land rover mechanics. well after having it for two days and 700.00 later they said that they had to re-thread 3 of the 8. I got about 20 min heading home on the freeway it felt like it was running only running on 3 of the 8 spark plugs. took it to AAMCO and they told me they couldn't even look at the work the previous shop did to see if they did it correctly with out charging me there hour rate because they were unsure if they would be able to get the plugs back into place correctly shouldn't have the first repair shop re-threaded all 8 and not just 3. wouldn't that make 3 of the hole bigger than the others?
any help on this subject would be very helpful

Not sure what model year rover or much from this post, but I would say you have a coil pack issue...
