Hey all, has anyone sealed up their rear lower hatch with any type of sound deadening material? I'm getting too much exhaust sound from my muffler delete. I'm just trying to decrease the sound a bit for the rear seat passengers haha. I've thought about Dynamat, those square foam sheets on amazon, or just shooting some expanding foam in the hatch?....I would make sure to keep the rear hatch cable and locking apparatus clear from touching any of the said material. Anyone with such experience? By the way the sub in the hatch is disconnected so that has no bearings on any of this. I have a custom box built in the truck.

@jlach993 and Tribe,

Has anyone gone forward with this?

I ask because I am planning on a refurbishment of my tailgate as part of the great 2025 LR4 rebuild and was wondering if there were any lessons learned or advice.

I know that Waffle Square serviced his LR3 some time ago and installed some dynamat - see

But he never followed-up with his thoughts on the improvements.

Many thanks!
