I really want to replace our sun-damaged mirror covers with the bright finish covers shown as accessories in our 2015 LR Brochure. According to LR’s online parts catalogue the bright finish fits only ‘16 to ‘22 models and I need the paint-to-match covers used from ‘14-‘17. I do see that the mirror body is a different part number. The question is: if the painted cover is used all the way to ‘17 why wouldn’t the bright finish fit my ‘15 model?

Has anyone fitted bright finish mirror covers to a 2015 LR4 HSE Lux?

yes, the fake chrome ones
when shopping on the LR parts sites, the warning is they do not fit a 2015 model.

Bumping this up.
My 2015 LR4 brochure lists "Bright Finish Mirror Caps." i know the parts books say they will not fit. Why not?

Maybe just order them and try them out, if you really want them.

Sometimes you have to blaze your own trail when customizing. I am going to try and retrofit radar cruise control to my 2013 LR4 from a RRS. It should work, but I don’t know for sure. It was only a factory option from 2015-2016 but all the electrics are the same in the 2013.

Have you read the thread on disco3.co.uk about this retrofit? Our 2013s don't have the adaptive cruise control harness. I checked on my late 2013 build and didn't have one so I gave up on that endeavor.

I think there are a couple of differences. The RRS I believe had an additional module and a different sensor than '15-16 LR4. I think some of the "smarts" included in the radar unit on the 15+ were handled by that module. Odd thing is the 2014, apparently the ECU can't support ACC, even though the part number is the same for 14-16.

I read that whole thing after posting my bold plans and have decided it’s not going to happen haha.
