Don't have the part numbers handy, but I believe there are two plastic trim pieces per side that cover the area you are talking about.

Somebody around here probably has them laying in their garage from a slider install, as most sliders require you to remove them.

Any dealer could look it up and order..

I seem to recall they are about 125.00 per side, but don't quote me on that.

You can also just put some low profile rock sliders on there. They'll cover everything and IMO look better than the running boards anyway.

So I finally replaced mine with some cheap knockoffs from Ebay. I have a 2014 LR4 Lux that is the newer version with the LED headlights and a few other telltales. I thought this automatically meant the running boards were the beefier ones we discuss here being side impact protection and needed to be kept on. Well maybe this is not true until the 2015's, maybe thre was another change? Because the ones I took off looked about 20% beefier than the $200 ones I replaced the with. The LR running boards are a joke. They begin to have serious corrosion issues within a few years that is hidden by the aluminum and plastic. They became "structural" in the final few years with the only thing changing was the alumnum blocks they mounted too. LR should have a free replacement policy. Having things rust out completely on vehicles 4 years old is unnacceptable and shows the lack of quality of the OEM components.
