Removing resonator?

I don't get this. You buy a luxury vehicle that is one of the most quite SUVs you can find, then you hack it up and make it sound like some redneck in a chevy.

It isn't a race car, fyi. To each his own I guess.

Thanks for the useless comment, mbw! "To each his own" is right... Why comment if you can't add anything useful? As you can see by this thread, I'm not the only one who enjoys the sound of a V8 through a slightly more open exhaust system.

Also, do you have something against rednecks in chevys? Those are the types of comments that give Land Rover owners bad raps. I've met plenty of nice "rednecks in chevys" while trail-riding. You won't be calling them that someday when they pull you out (if you even off-road...).

true, wasn't all that useful, ill admit. Just seems like an odd mod for this vehicle. I'll bet you I know and hang out with more rednecks with chevys here in Iowa than you do in CA or Florida or wherever

Haha...mbw, to each his own is right I guess... I couldnt take barely hearing any exhaust note coming from our awesome 8 cylinders! My wifes 2011 VW 2.5L 5cyl sounded more agressive than the 3.

I guess this is just my outlet... I don't have a boat, motorcycle, atv... I need to hear something man!!!!

If I had the money and got a '13 that might be a different story...maybe!

I bought an older model so I would feel better about making some mods. This delete is only the beginning. These cars are a little too glamour off the showroom floor and I like to make it a little more red neck. I'm from Minnesota so I have a little of that in me.

So what about the drone noise Bushway? Any?

In my experience with the drone... I only have an issue when I'm on the highway next to someone else that has a louder exhaust...it get a little funky. Other than that...not bad at all.

Well, thats why I said to each his own. Guess that was too offensive or useless. haha I had an exhaust on my Infiniti for awhile, got tired of it. Got old I guess, I enjoy comfy suspension and quite ride now.

At least my Infiniti was fast.

As for 'redneck' I think he thought I was using it in a negative way, I wasn't really. I live basically in the country. Our little housing division is surrounded by fields and its generally pretty rural around here. I love it. You should meet some of the crazy folks I shoot with and what they drive.

Ill stop posting now or I might just **** someone off more.

Quick note. I have gone off road with Brandon and the sound of his LR4 is just fantastic.

It is loud but not overwhelmingly loud. After all that's what a V8 should sound like.

Due to their clientele base (deleted my comment), LR decided to turn down the sound of their exhausts... Until now! The new RR Sport is really loud and that is because LR clients have asked for a louder exhaust note (sport).

In any case, if I didn't live in MA, I would follow the same route than Brandon, when freed the LR V8 is what one the nicest sounding engines around.

I'm having my exhaust guy delete #8 on Monday morning. I'll report back. Just hoping it doesn't sound like just a loud truck with a broken muffler.
