I always take advantage of any reason to remember Colorado. Most beautiful place in the country. If only I could get there more than once a year. But I'll take whatever I can get.

Awesome pictures. I am close to Colorado--and I have family there; I should plan a trip sometime.

I really like the looks of the Brownchurch rack, but I think I am sold on all of the easy attachments for the Yakima.

Not sure I follow... Could you desribe the subroof-hitting-the-fairing issue a bit more? Or take a picture if you get a chance? I would greatly appreciate it.

He means ,if you decide to mount one of two cross bars provided by Yakima at most forward position in roof rails, than your sun roof, when retracting towards back of your car ,might hit a cross bar .As you know our sun roof does not hide inside a roof itself ,like on most cars,it stops on top of the roof on an angle, usually touching fairing mounted on front cross bar to close to end of roof railings.Try to open your roof see when it stops than mount first cross member in safe distance of the glass panel.Cheers

You have to cut a small section (about 4 inches) from the rack to fit around the fin.

i second that. if only PA had some scenery like that to visit. The jersey shore or Poconos are the best bet on this side of the states. At least for me. This guy is feeling envious.

Hey now, Rausch Creek Offroad Park has some vista views like that. That's off I-81 in the central part of PA. Only been there once and had a great time. We went in January, after an ice-fall, then snow-fall. Temps that day never left the single digits. I was with a group of Toyota Tundra's and all made it out OK.

Duckdive helped me with that before I bought mine. Thanks again.

It's a 5 minute $2.00 modification. Cut a small piece out with a hacksaw. Put in some silicone sealant and a couple furniture plugs, and you're good to go.
Here's a couple close-ups of mine.

anyone make a longer one that looks just like the brownchurch? I know it would block the sunroof, but it'd be nice to hook up some lights up there. I'm not the hugest fan of the roverracks one. (and I never use my sunroof)

I am told that roof rack from EQUIPT1 website, meets most off serious off roaders needs. It is better build than Hannibal roof rack ,it can actually accommodate a tent ,fuel cans and spare wheel on the long run.I am looking for something with removable rails so i can haul something flat like plywood ,Sheetrock and tent without compromising a low profile and aerodynamics.
