Rough shifting

I just received this letter . . .

Good afternoon, I was trying to register but could not and have a HUGE
favor to ask about my 00 disco II. It just hit 32000 miles and all has
been great on it until yesterday, when i came to a stop sign proceeded
to go it got to about 2700 rpm's before it shifted and shifted very
rough. My service engine light turned on and also my S and M lights are
on. I spoke to some people who told me that the transmission is stuck
in "self-phase" is there any way possible to fix the problem without
drving it down 200 miles to my closest dealership. By the way the code
was no output from the speed sensor. If you can help me in any way
possible, PLEASE

What are we going to do with you??
Are you still under warranty, if so call the dealer and see what he wants you to do.
If you are in warranty this is the time to have it take a S--T.
