Thought I'd share an experience in case anyone else runs into this.
I had just picked up my 2002 RR from the dealer and was driving home (100 miles) when I noticed a loud noise that appeared to be coming from the drivers side by the windshield.
The noise was enough to raise the dead; it only happened occasionally but more prevalent the faster I drove. I figured I would have the local dealer check it out when I brought it in for service.
I took a long trip with it and the noise was unbearable. After the trip I popped the hood to fill the windshield washer fluid container and I noticed all the screws had come off the battery cover. Apparently the wind was getting under the hood and causing it to flap around in there, not enough room for it to fly off. After securing it the noise stopped
