265/75R16 will not only rub on a D1, but if you hit a speed bump it is likely to bend the fenders if you don't do some serous trimming.

Your basically talking a 31.5 inch tire.... that is 10.5 to 11 inches wide. I run 31-10.50-15

Basically the same tire... and I still rub after some cutting and a 2 inch lift.

When I bought my Disco it came with 275/70R16 Bridgestone Dueulers. Way too big of a tire for a stock Disco. I am very aware of the rub and take it very easy in the bumpy stuff. I found these tires do not work very well in snowy conditions so I hope your in a non-snowy climate. Several times last winter I found my Disco to be a sled, even at slow speeds. And I even grooved the tires to add extra traction.

I live In Houston, Tx we hardly ever see any snow but I can say that these tires handled great in the soft sands of Padre Island

Yep, I figured those tires would work pretty good in sand. We don't have alot of that around here.

I know a lot of people swear by all season tires, but I still think snow tires are the best way to go.
