TSBs are not warranty work. You'll get no sympathy at the dealer. It's a bulletin, from the Ford days, and LR will probably tell you too late. Good luck even trying to get the service guys to know about it and the alignment specs shown.

I've found that if you generally reference a TSB and/or have a copy of it, the dealers are generally more willing to perform the work without a hassle. I've never had an issue with my dealer and alignment specs. I think it's pretty common knowledge that the 05-06 Discos had issues in this area. I've heard several sales guys even reference it with CPO vehicles when talking to customers.

I believe so... it has an extended warrantee and I purchased it from the dealer.

If it's CPO, you should have gotten a CPO checklist from the dealer that lists the tire tread depth etc. Those tires definitely do not meet LRs CPO checklist for tires.

I guess its not an official CPO vehicle. I guess the warrantee is APCO. The dealer didnt tell me there was a difference. Either way, I am fairly sure a dealership cant sell a vehicle with tires below the legal limit.

It is very true the alignment is critical. My Cooper Zeons have around 25k miles on them and they still look very new, but I get alignment checked about every 10k miles. Some offroad guys do it after nearly all offroad trips, but they drive much harder than I do offroad. (Don't want to scratch the black paint?). Get a good alignment, and get some good tires...don't scrimp!

Update...

Update - Met with the Sales GM today at my dealership and this is what he offered me. Cost on new tires and a complimentary alignment. So I'm thinking... well not what I wanted but what is cost on 4 tires? Service guy calls me back this afternoon and said cost is $303.00 each on tires! Im like ***? There is no way. Then he proceeds to tell me that if I don't purchase tires through them I will have to pay $200 for the alignment. Looks like Im going to have to take the dealership to small claims court for tires and and alignment. I love how they dont wink an eye even though I paid 24k for a vehicle 6 weeks ago that should have been aligned and had the legal amount of tire tread, not ready to blow up. This is why we call them stealerships people... Ill be calling Land Rover USA on monday.
