Side Steps

One more item. Has anyone installed the "underbody protection" device? Opinions?

Definetely buy the side steps. I did not see a low lying yellow post and I heard this horrible screeching sound. The right side step was destroyed, but zero damage to body.

Yeah, I'm convinced the side steps are a good idea.....and the mud guards also. Still undecided on the door protectors.

Actually live about 4 miles south of Snohomish.....just a bit west of Hwy 9.

Oh...I'm in (North) Seattle. I've been seeing a lot more LR3s around lately. I'm thinking that a lot of peopel waited for the first year bugaboos to be solved and bought '06 models.

I've noticed more Land Rovers in general, but probably only because I have one now. As far as LR3's, I believe I've only seen one other so far...a dark grey model on 405.

well, I've definitely noticed more in the last 3 months of ownership than in the first 9...but that was bound to happen.

I have them installed

I had them dealer installed when I bought my LR3. They look great and are very sturdy. One note though, is that they do extend about two inches out from the wheel arches, thus extending the overall lower width of the vehicle by four inches (both sides included). The wing mirrors extend out about three inches beyond the side steps on either side.
