I think I know the answer to this one but wanted to put it out there in the off chance that I might be pleasantly surprised.

Does Land Rover have a track record of providing meaningful software updates that provide NEW capabilities, or do they take the approach of issuing software updates for the sole purpose of fixing known bugs?

A few examples that come to mind include the ability to see better info on the dashboard display, nav improvements, etc.

There are no benefit for them to add additional features to existing cars already sold. I mean they already sold the car, why not try to provide additional features at their expense when most owners are happy with the car as is.

It's possible that they could add additional features through software update on new cars coming out next year and cars already sold could benefit from an update but mainly it's for fixing issues and bugs on cars already sold.
