Let me know how they work, I'm in need of one for my full size spare, didn't know tire rack carried them. Thanks for the heads up

Well, I can confirm that the TPMS sensors from tire rack ($55) are working well on my MY15 LR4.

I put 5 on all 5 of my new compos with 265/60 KO2s.

PSI readings are accurate on the systems-check in the menu.

We shall see how they hold up...

The DIY method is to swap spare and one of your driving wheels, and drive around for a few miles. The spare wheel sensor will be registered in the TPMS module, and then you can swap wheels back. The faster and more expensive alternative is to visit a dealer to have the sensor's S/N registered manually via LR diagnostics. AFAIK, you cannot do that with an IIDTool, either.

There was nothing done by my install guy to reset or register the new TPMS. I do not get any alerts about the spare.
Everything just worked. YMMV
