I saw the dreaded "check engine" light come on the other day. I let my tank run empty, and then I filled it with premium gas. I usually am cheap and just fill it with regular, but I thought if my rover was hurting, it could use the premium stuff. Anyway, the second I started up, the check engine light went off. I think I will probably run premium from now on.

Yes, in fact, I heard someone scold me from the heavens.

Probably a bad wiring connection. Your assignment for the weekend is to trace every wire and connection, verify voltage, and verify proper connection. Report to us Monday with the results.

At least there aren't that many wires that you will have to check... :proud:

Quiet! I have to do that on my Jeep this weekend. I keep blowing a fuse every time it starts up - but if i replace the fuse while it's running the fuse stays on. Grumble.

I think it's a chemical reaction that occurs when the driveway contains an AMC Jeep CJ, A Chrysler Jeep Wrangler, and a Land Rover Disco.
