Last night I pulled a Toyota Tundra out of the snow in a deep ditch alongside a very busy 4-lane road. In low range and first gear I spun some (Nitto Grappler tires) and bounced around quite a bit. At one point I was dangerously close to bouncing into the slow lane.

After I got him out, I started wondering if I would have had better luck in one of the special programs. The shoulder was paved, but had some gravel and a fair bit of snow on it. Anyone have any idea if one of the special programs would have been more effective?

Rock crawl delivers maximum torque and will enable your locking diffs and I think makes your traction control more sensitve.
