Is it constant static, or is it speed related? My AM frequencies are utterly destroyed by the speed of the engine--I believe I read somewhere the alternator does this interference? Its fun, sometimes I put it on AM so that it sounds like my engine is stronger than it is, because the speakers are 'amplifying' the interference which sounds like the motor lol. If your static is all the time, even with CD, then it could me many things, but likely a loose wire. Did you look at the back of the head unit? and at each speaker? If you did, then you are insane, because it is a lot of work to get to all of those connections! If you didnt, then I would still say that a loose wire somewhere is your culprit. Do you have a spare head unit that you could hook up to your wires? That would elminate if its the unit or not. The amp maybe, but I dont think it would cause static for the entire system, especially if you are running stock radio. Its the aftermarket radios that usually hate the amp setup. I hope you figure it out, never good until its perfect, right? I know how it goes. Let us know if you fix it tho!
