Stuck in park

My daughter in law drove my 1995 Disco to a hamburher joint and when she got back in the car it would not get out of park. I had to go and get her. So, no Disco,.....and no hamburger!!! Help anyone

Brake switch is probably bad... down by the brake pedal you will find the switch, you can put a jumper it for temp use, but brake lights will always be on. You can also disassembly the center console and remove the shift lock.

You will need to replace the brake switch either way.
