I've had some leaking in my Disco II from my front sunroof. i had blown out the drains several months ago, and fairly soon after, more water. well, several days ago, after a good rain, i saw some wettness on the roof lining. then that evening, my sunroof stopped working. now it is only my front sunroof, my rear still operates fine.
so... is there something else i can treat as far as the leak instead of just blowing out the drains?
also, is there anything else i should check before replacing the sunroof motor, possibly a fuse that would control the front sunroof only?
i fear that if i spend the $120 on the motor, and just blow the drains, i will get another leak then lose another motor, and i can't begin work on the leak itself until i can open the sunroof.
i've heard that some water in the roof line can't really do THAT much damage, because it is aluminum....
is there a definitive way to correct the leak?

Sunroof's only have one fuse for the sunroof ECU. Could be the screws that hold the glass in place are loose or out of alignment.

Motor may very well be burnt, either way it will require a headliner removal in order to check, test or replace.

I had a similar problem with my front sunroof leaking. Mine is a '99 D1, but I understand they share the following: There is a black plastic piece that aligns the window with the track. Mine broke on one side only and I thought the only effect was a little vibration when openned. However, it was causing a slight leak that with heavy rain caused the headliner to get wet. I repaired this before any motor problems, but this could be the source of your leak.

i haven't replace the motor yet actually just got some time off to take a look at the car again. i do wonder if anyone can help me understand: the front sunroof does not open, however the rear does with no problems. the front does make a slight clicking sound as if the ECU may be relaying the signal, just with no motor... but
if the ECU had fried, would that affect both sunroofs or could that be a problem.
i just want to make sure that i don't replace the working part and then might have to replace the other.
