Give us more information, year, mileage, when it was last tuned and octane gas you use.
A 174 code indicated that the passenger bank is running lean.

On other forums I am on, we have stayed away from posting fault code lists because, especially when you have multiple codes, the average person can not determine what the real problem is.
In the case of his 174, with the information given, he probably won't understand or know how to detect and fix it.
I believe if a person can get his codes read and posted back to a site/forum he at least stands a pretty good chance of getting it resolved.

Completely agree with you on the more info Mike, but figure the person asked for specific info... that is what I offered. If he does respond with more info I am sure we can help determine what is causing the issue and point to a resolution.

Well based on your attitude with your last post, I have annoyed you, and that is fine, I try to help people and for the most part, they don't have a clue where to start.
So, first of all, quit using the 89 octane gas, like every sticker on your truck tells you, 91 or higher. Second, if you know how, check for a vacuum leak from the air filter box back and all over the intake manifold, also check the air filter, are you using paper ot an oil soaked filter like a K&N?

Joey,
I wasn't critizing you, just making a statement about people who are given too much information, get that blank look on their faces and become dangerous when it comes to fixing something they know nothing about.
