Hi Guys,
Hope you can help me out a bit.
I have a 2004 Disco 2 TD5 which I fitted a Tunit chip to at about 25,000 miles. The chip is set to two notches below maximum boost and always has been. At 110,000 miles the turbo died so I had a local landrover garage (not main dealer) supply and fit a new one. At 120,000 miles the turbo died again! I sent it back to the same garage assuming some sort of warranty replacement through Garrett but I had to pay for a new turbo and fitting again. It has now done 127,000 miles and the turbo failed again last night. Oil and filters were changed including the centrifuge along with the last turbo and oil pressures were confirmed as good when measured at the turbo. I really don't want to send it back to the same garage again because i've lost all faith.
Has anyone else suffered with repeated turbo failure and was there some other reason that you may have found for it? Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
Richard
