Does anyone with the fancy headlights (I forget what they're called) notice that they always seem to start up with a different motion?

Maybe its just me, but when I get in the car for the first time at night it seems like they don't always do the same dance (system check) when you turn them on.

The side to side movement and then slow rise looks pretty cool. Smile

Yep, notice it every morning, nice purple haze too.
Now if I can get her to stop leaking oil on my nice new painted garage floor, I would be all set.

SHould have never gotten rid of that 76 Pinto. There was a classic;)

Adaptive Bi-Xenon.
Start-up Program set dependant upon steering wheel (input) setting.

I noticed the light show "once" a couple months ago, but it hasn't happened since. Figured it was just something that happened every now and then for adjustment. Checked the settings via the steering wheel input, but did not see it there. Anyone know how this really works - how often, programmable, etc?

Adaptive lights will go through the "dance" if you have your light control set to auto, when ever the truck starts. If it is not in auto, they will not perform the dance.

Thanks, Schafari. I was wondering why I see it sometimes and not others.

Just on the topic of Bi-Xenon headlights, they're awesome. You get the whole light show just while driving around town. Its like a helicopter spotlights looking for the suspect!

the headlights are best described as daylights in my opnion. i have never seen anything like these things. they are better than the bi xenon's on my 911.

I just traded in my 03 Disco purhased a LR3 SE V8... when at the dealer I had every LR3 on the lot out for a drive & opotions comparison. The one I actually picked due to options package & price... later that night I turned on the lights and noticed I did not have the Bi-Xenon Headlamps as I had thought all V8SE's had them? While the traditional lights are extremely bright and work, I was wondering if there was a kit I could install to change my headlamps from the traditional to Bi-Xenon? Thanks!
