Rocks are always going to win vs. paint or powder coat. Maintenance is easier. Powder coat is a lot more durable against the elements and brake dust. Especially the gunk they splatter on the roads up here in Denver, over the winter. And yes, the lugs can be powder coated. I was just going to order the black lugs that our Range has, later on down the road or just swap them over.

We did see a ton of nice rigs but, negative on a Bronco convoy. We didn't make it up to Nederland until 1:30 in the afternoon, or so. But, I sure would have liked to see that!

We were on the trail by 10am and headed back thru Nederland around 4:30. We would have been hard to miss LOL!

We also saw a Cow Moose 5 miles North of Nederland. Never seen one that close to civilization - in CO anyway.

Looks nice! There are OEM black lug nuts on eBay every once and while. I went with the sprayed on black for easier maintenance, but most PC shops will give you a bottle of touch-up.

My LR3 Nav system said the name of this road is "Short Cut"...LOL

This "road" is off Gold Camp Road, south-west of Colorado Springs. Pictures taken on 3/31/2012.
