That's a great buy for your old car! What's next?

My wife is pushing for a Tahoe LTZ. I am thinking a Range Rover Sport, but $$$$$. For a few hours today, I was thinking a new Civic LX, but I came to my senses.

This is the first time I have ever needed to buy a car, and the rental from State Farm is up on Tuesday. No pressure.

If I were in that position I'd get a Jeep Wranger Rubicon and not look back...

Just got one, and I can tell you, it's not anywhere near the same kind of vehicle the LR3 is. Have you thought about a MiniCooper?, Fun to drive and a heck of a lot more fuel efficient. Of course, you just proved the value in saftey of your LR3, and we all know they are awesome and versatile vehicles, so why not just get another?

Really? Do you still have the LR3? Planning on getting rid of it?

Got pics of the Rubicon?

-Rich

Yes, I absolutely still have the LR3, and will continue to have one for the foreseable future. I greatly enjoy my LR3, and would own it even if I never off roaded.

The Jeep is for Her. We've been renting them whenever we go somewhere fun like Moab, Telluride, Maui, etc... and she is convinced that is what she wants. The kids like it too.

We bought it plug-n-play. It's got everything except manners and poise :)

Nathan, I wasn't implying that the Rubi is the same vehicle as the LR3 or anything near it....just that if I were in the position of having to buy a car and had a check for ~$30,000 in my pocket, I'd get a Rubicon. I have always wanted a Jeep but steered clear of them in the mid-90's because they'd gotten so....*****.

...but the Wrangler Rubicon is impressive.
