Hey, was making a pretty tight low speed turn to the right in Low-Locked, the ground had more grip than I thought, and there was a loud thud shudder from what seemed the right front wheel....what do you think it was, just kick back from the center diff or what? Do you think there are any parts wearing out/broken as a result? I put it in locked high and the light on the dash came up, and extinguished (I did a couple of cycles to make sure my CDL was still working properly) so I dont think anything is wrong with my transfer case, but maybe someone here knows. Any ideas would be nice, dont want to break any gears for sure!

You should only lock the CDL when on loose ground... the shudder you felt is the system trying to move it ways it was not intended... propably nothing is hurt, but I would do that to often.

Driving over hard surface with CDL would be like me trying to put my legs behind my head.... it just isn't going to feel good, and something might break.

lol thanks guys...i figured i just made her mad at me because of that...ill have to save the lock for the real slippery dirt next time, doh! its ok, ill give her some love and buy fluids and grease for maintanence next weekend....the bright side is all my mechanical parts function still..

*edit: well was bored, searchin forum, and member HEEM wrote in 12/04 "Trying to drive forward while you had the wheel turned would have been difficult, and it would have made loud clunking noises." so that basically is it, thanks guys!
