FYI: I wanted to see if I could use the breather tube(s) to pour some lubegard shudder fix into the transmission as I've been dealing with shuddering for a long time. Obviously a proper fix would be to drop the pan and really get into a trans service, but its hot as hell in FL and I dont feel like losing 10lbs in a day sweating in my garage right now. So, found the vent tubes per Rover Range and tested whether they could be used to push fluid into the transmission. Connected a 5mil hose to each one and blew air in and it simply pressurized. I felt the air blowing back out after I stopped blowing in, so that was a big no.
Had to do it the harder way and jack up the passenger side after a drive, kept it running to keep it hot and the fluid level low. Got the lubegard in through the fill plug (a ****** designed the fill plug location btw which is why I wanted to use the breather tubes). Anyway, shuddering is completely gone, which is weird because I've just been living with it for so long. We'll see how it holds up for 6 months until I get to doing a proper fluid and seals change.
