Disco oil pans are sealed with 'Right Stuff' or similar high build rtv silocone. A prybar or rubber mallet will be required to break the seal. Be carefull not to pry on the sealing edge!

I went around the side of the pan with a plastic tool used to smooth spackle. This thing does not want to come down. I used a pry bar and it moves a little then pops back up. I don't want to damage the oil pan. Just keep prying?
