unplugged IAC o.k?

96 d1 145,000+ Is it totally wrong to unplug my IAC stepper-motor and drive like that?It stops my rough idle and only idles a little higher than normal(un plugged it idles at 680 -690 instead of plugged it idlesat 660/6700rpms.

You can unplug it, but eventually the ECU will catch up and then it will idle around 2000 RPM. Then you can't drive it.

Just replace or clean it.
